2013 USA Gibson SG with P90’s. 24 frets allowing four octave range. Most SG’s and Les Pauls only have 22 frets. Vintage-style polyurethane finish and Grover vintage-style tulip tuners. Back of neck has been sanded and gunstock-oiled and waxed for smooth stick-free left-hand movement and an “unfinished” look. Ernie Ball 0.10 to 0.46 gauge strings. I don’t know about other SG’s but this particular guitar stays in tune really well. I “luthier wrap” the strings on the tuning posts, and clean and lube the nut slots and saddles every time I change the strings. I’ve left it hanging in the rehearsal room after a band practice and come back to it a week later and it’s still in tune. I’ve intonated the guitar, and setup the action and truss rod the way I like it. Minimal string buzz and no “fretting out” anywhere when bending the strings. The strings are “top-wrapped” OVER the tailpiece (see photo) a la Joe Bonamassa, Billy Gibbons, Derek Trucks, and Duane Allman. Gig bag included. Some wear & tear that is normal for a guitar that has been well-used and gigged a bit. Could use the fret ends smoothed on the edges of the fretboard but overall a nice-playing axe. Why spend over $2,000 for a new P90 SG when you can get this for $1,100?! Cash only, no e-transfers.
