As we roll out Modern Edge Manufacturing, we are expanding into production-based manufacturing, requiring fabricators who can balance custom craftsmanship with precision-driven, repeatable fabrication. Position Overview We are looking for a Skilled Fabricator to join our growing team. While experience is important, we are seeking someone teachable and adaptable, who can refine their skills to match our high standards. This role involves working on custom architectural and structural projects. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable working in the shop and on-site in weather as required by the project. This candidate will also adhere to strict safety protocols and hold themselves to a high level of professionalism while working on our client’s sites. Key Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble large commercial and structural steel components, including beams, columns, and architectural metalwork. Craft high-end custom projects, such as staircases, railings, and gates, ensuring both structural integrity and aesthetic precision. Interpret and execute blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications with accuracy. Operate metal fabrication tools and machinery, including welding, cutting, bending, and shaping equipment. Ensure quality control throughout the fabrication process to maintain industry and company standards. Work closely with the team to troubleshoot fabrication challenges and continuously improve processes. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while following all company safety protocols. Be open to learning new techniques and adapting to company-specific fabrication methods. Welding to a CWB standard. (THIS IS NOT A WELDER POSTING, welding skills and abilitieswill be considered as an asset) Adaptability & Site Work Must be comfortable transitioning between shop and site work, ensuring a seamless workflow across different environments. Adhere to all site safety regulations, including proper PPE usage and compliance with company and industry safety standards. Willingness to work at heights and in varied site conditions as required. Comfortability with working in all weather conditions, rain, sun, snow, hot/cold. Industry training incentives available for successful applicants, including: Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Certification Fall Arrest & Safety Training Occupational First Aid Qualifications & requirements of the position Minimum 3-4 years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in custom metalwork. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency with welding, cutting, and forming techniques. Comfortable with both custom fabrication and repetitive production work. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. It cannot be understated that the job requires a teachable attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to refining skills. Positive and professional approach to craftsmanship and teamwork. Comfortable working in both shop and on-site environments. Although not a requirement, our organization highly prizes any formal education or proven track record of specializing in leadership, operations management, & project management.
