This delightful old chair belonged to my dear old friend (102 years old, this year, and recently passed) Her daughter had an antique shop, and supplied this chair for her darling mother. My observations are that the original upholstered seat has been removed, and a plywood base has been installed. With the included foam cushion, it is very comfortable. If you want to; the seat could easily be changed back to any kind of seat you want. The chair is wide, and will fit the majority of body shapes. The patina on the arms shows how much the chair has been loved and enjoyed. The feet are carved, adding a unique styling The narrative of human labour is evidenced under the curved arms. Here you will see the saw marks from the original sawing out of a solid board of hardwood. The structure of the chair is solid, and ready for your immediate use. My old friend doesn't care about the money any longer, and she would be happy for me to collect $80 from someone who values the chair for what it is. The shared life of the old lady and old chair are waiting for your story to be joined with theirs... If my description resonates with you, come and try it it out. We are in Sidney.
