This Solid Brass Battleship Binnacle with gimballed compass. Iron compensating balls are mounted to brackets. Quite heavy. This Binnacle is from the US Navy. Torpedo Base. WW 2 Vintage solid brass large 1933 binnacle. Will take two men to move. I traced the Binnacle back to Ritchie and Sons. By telephone they confirmed sold to the US Navy for installation. I have not heard back from US Navy records as to which ship (#506) it was installed. See the Link below to compare when cleaned up can be worth 15-20 Thousand Dollars.
