$30 · Isolation platform for turntable or subwoofer

I had this made based on an audio thread about equipment isolation. In simple terms mass is everything esp. with diverse materials. This platform consists of a 3" high solid plywood plinth which is 18" square. The plinth is filled with aquarium sand and a 2" thick 15x15 rubber mat is floated inside . The whole structure is inert and good at absorbing vibrations and decoupling your equipmment It has decent cosmetics and fits within a standard rack. I have used these for subwoofers, turntables etc. DThis one is just surplus . Given the open design you can experiment with other materials. In Saanich, near Oak Bay Pick up only.
