These metal framed, ballistic nylon backpacks are bulletproof. Not like modern, wimpy, ultralight packs made of plastic film, these are built to bang around! Each set includes a large pack with one big compartment for stashing a week's supplies, and also a small day pack for strolling around. Both the smaller and the larger pack can be worn individually, or the pair can be zipped snuggly together with the extra straps hidden away. Everything works great: zippers are strong and smooth, straps and clips are all perfect. No holes or even scuffs. And yes, there are two sets. So four packs total. The asking price is for everything you see. We bought these new from MEC back in 2010 for tromping around Spain, France, and Italy for a month. They were fantastic for that. They carried our clothes, bathroom kit, snacks, laptops, camera, tour books, bottles of wine, and souvenirs we picked up along the way. We'd leave the big bags in whatever hotel we happened to be at, then walk around the cities and ruins and wineries with just the day packs. Just so you're not surprised, they weigh as much as they look like they will. Around 2700g/6 pounds per set. That's what strong, protective, long-lasting, puncture-proof weighs. So they're not for competition timed mountain climbing. Buy the plastic film backpacks if that's what you're in to. But if you want to check your backpack as luggage, throw it around while knowing everything is safe, and you're not panicked about grams, these are for you!
