$600 · Zeus Track Bike - Vintage Survivor

This is a 1979-1981 vintage Zeus track bike made in Spain from English Reynolds 531 tubing. Construction is very good if not super fancy. Some chrome and in all the right spots. Stunner of a fork crown. Original bright silver paint has dulled to a more grey silver. This bike is about as complete as you are going to find for this vintage. All Zeus except for the period correct Selle Italia saddle and the original Clement silks have degraded to dust so they went to the bin. I have the original Zeus saddle somewhere and will send it to you if I can find it. It is a great track bike from the time. Has only ever been on the oval. I have got it back into presentable condition but the new owner would be advised to give it a thorough going over. Tires included are NEVER used Continentals but are NOT glued on so that needs to be done with whatever tires you may use. 56 x 56 center to center Reynolds 531 tubing 28h Mavic Hour Record rims tied and soldered to Zeus hubs. Will last forever. Exceptional quality. No grease required. Oil will do but it's up to you. Zeus cranks, chainring, headset, bb, seat post, pedals etc. I have a 3T stem and bar on here with Benotto Cello Tape. The bar and stem are correct to the time period but I have the original Cinelli steel bar and stem for those looking to get as close to original spec as possible. They are surprisingly light. These would add $200 to the price. I think that is a good deal if you check the prices on Ebay. I am only selling as I don't have space. It would enjoy a day at the track. Bike is in Mill Bay.
