Farmer – Camas Farm (British Columbia) Location: Camas Farm, British Columbia Position type: Full-time, Seasonal (April to October) Wage: Basic salary (to be discussed) Hours: 40 hours per week ________________________________________ Job Description Camas Farm is looking for a hardworking and dependable Farmer to assist with garlic and vegetable production. The position involves operating farm machinery, preparing soil, planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting. ________________________________________ Main Duties • Operate tractors and other farm machinery safely and efficiently • Prepare soil for planting (tilling, leveling, conditioning) • Lay mulch and assist with planting garlic and other crops • Operate harvesting equipment for garlic and other field crops • Clean, trim, and prepare garlic for drying and packaging • Maintain and perform basic repairs on tractors and implements • Follow farm safety and hygiene procedures • Assist with general farm maintenance and related duties ________________________________________ Requirements • Experience operating tractors and farm machinery (minimum 1 year preferred) • Knowledge of soil preparation, planting, and harvesting methods • Familiarity with garlic cultivation an asset • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot basic equipment issues • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team ________________________________________ Work Conditions • Rural location (own transportation required) • Standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 kg required • Work may include early mornings, weekends, and overtime during harvest season ________________________________________ Employment Term Seasonal, from April to October each year (with possibility of renewal) ________________________________________ How to Apply Please send your resume to: 📧 [jane@camasfarm.com].
