Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Position Available: On the road position, must hold a valid BC Drivers License, be bondable, have a reliable vehicle insured for work purposes, reside in the Victoria area, $21.00 hour / 30 hours per week, Permanent employment / Immediate start / Victoria and surrounding areas / Basic health and dental plan available, details to be discussed with successful candidates / Fluent English speaking and writing required / High School Graduation and subsequent maintenance training, WMIS, Fall Restraint and Frist Aid required. Work locations and daily hours may vary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Sweeps, janitorial, wax hallways, floors and stairs operating industrial vacuum cleaners, leaf blowers and lawn mowers, empty trash cans and other waste containers, wash windows, interior walls and ceilings, make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs, contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, perform minor repairs on appliances, lighting, doors, locks, windows, fencing etc., perform safety and security checks, supervise other workers, move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies, perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, must be able to work with minimal supervision, clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, mileage reimbursement available.
