Position Overview: We are seeking a Fine Art Production assistant to handle the precision cutting, trimming, packing, and varnishing of fine art prints, ensuring all pieces meet high-quality standards. This role also involves assisting with order processing, maintaining organized records, invoicing, and providing exceptional customer service. Prior experience in a print or framing shop and a background in fine arts are preferred. Applicants must be local to Victoria, BC, and have strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. This a permanent professional position. Key Responsibilities: • Production Duties (main job): • Precision cutting and trimming of fine art prints. • Packing and binding of artworks with utmost care. • Handling original fine art with gentle and meticulous care. • Quality control to ensure all prints meet our high standards. • Handling original fine art with gentle and meticulous care. • Shipping & Receiving including lifting parcels up to 50 pounds • Varnishing canvas prints (*HVLP spray systems) • Recycling and keeping working areas clean and clear • Administrative Duties (secondary job): • Assisting with order processing and tracking. • Maintaining organized records and documentation. • Filing and documenting • Quickbooks invoicing and estimates • Providing exceptional customer service to our artists and clients. • Addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally. Qualifications: • Experience in a production, a print shop or a framing shop is preferred. • Background in fine arts is preferred. • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Passion for fine art and dedication to providing superior service. • Local applicants only.
