I have a disabled duck looking for a new home. She is a Saxony who was hatched in April this year. I first noticed something off in August when it looked like she had a slight kink in her neck. I assume she has something like scoliosis in her neck as it has a bend in it. It has gotten a bit worse since August. She now is struggling to turn her head backwards, so can't preen. She trys really hard but can't seem to reach. As such, she gets wet/dirty very easily. She also seems to struggle with balance a little, so will fall if running too fast. She also struggles with going up and down anything more than a slope. That all being said she is healthy otherwise. She is currently laying and has been for the past month or so. She is super friendly. I've been bringing her in to wash the mud off her and then sitting with her by the fire to dry, and all she wants is to be beside you and preferably in your lap. As this neck issue has been progressively getting a bit worse, I make no guarantees on her lifespan. Due to this she would be free. I am just not the right home for her. She is the drakes' favourite girl so is missing a few feathers due to them. I don't have a space where I can separate her from the males and not have her by herself. Located in Central Saanich.
