This airy, spacious, open-plan, 540 sq.ft. suite includes a queen size bed, sofa, leather chair with footstool, dining table with 2 chairs, large fridge/freezer, gas stove/oven, microwave, jacuzzi tub, double-nozzle shower, full size washer and dryer, heat pump, plates, bowls, glasses, cups, cutlery, saucepans, frying pans, 2 trays, restful roof-garden. Relax in the 2 reclining chairs with the sunlight as it plays through the potted plants on the 120 sq.ft. deck and beyond, through the cedar and pine trees providing quiet privacy over the main property. Take your tranquility upstairs to ALoft. In its open plan, the northern part of the suite greets you with its comfortable, queen size, birch bed, cosy down quilt, , adjustable leather chair and supportive leather sofa. At the end of the sofa, full mirror doors add more light to the room, and upon opening, reveal a walk-in closet tucked above the entry stairwell. The sunset view over the treetops and neighbouring gardens from the west windows make this a peaceful, private place to recline. Hook up your computer to the high speed internet via cable or WIFI. Lounge comfortably in a leather chair with footstool. Enjoy the large fridge/freezer. When you're hungry, feast your eyes on the gourmet kitchen. Enjoy the custom-built, maple dining table, comfortable chairs, mood-setting lamps and garden view, or eat on the deck on a sunny day. Afterwards....whew, a stainless dishwasher! Its complete kitchen includes a tall, stainless fridge/freezer and a gas stove/oven. Spacious cupboards are filled with everything you need, from matching dishes and table mats to champagne glasses and spices. Pull out the wooden chopping block island from under the counter, and choose from an assortment of knives to cut food to just the right size with ease. Blend drinks, filter water, and use the Lagostina pots and pans on the gas stove, bake treats in the gas oven, or reheat in the microwave or toaster oven. In the soft light from the clerestory and three east windows or under the half dozen clear pot-lights, feel confident about creating your favourite meals. In the well-insulated bathroom, immerse yourself in the five-foot jacuzzi tub, or have a shower for two: one nozzle at each end of the tub. Mirrors in front and beside the pedestal sink reflect arching and overhead lights as well as a clerestory window. Full-size, front-loading laundry washer and gas dryer separate the bathing from the toilet area. You have your own, completely private entry to this lovely loft. At the top left of the 12-step stairwell, walk out through the sliding glass door on to the enclosed roof garden on its 120 square foot deck. Ease into deck chairs – long, relaxing, folding ones to stretch out your legs and lean back comfortably at adjustable angles. This roof garden offers another private retreat, with its herbs, flowers, climbing vines and roses, varying from season to season. Located in Victoria's Gordon Head neighbourhood, within a few minutes' drive, a 10-minute bike ride, or an easy bus ride to the University of Victoria, ALoft is located towards the end of a quiet, 2-block cul-de-sac, with off-street parking (in our driveway). ALoft has been a truly satisfying home for its inhabitants.
