Hi Vic! $1750 for 2 bedrooms in a shared 4 bedroom house: My son and I are looking for a roommate. Sorrel will gladly tell you that turns 6 in a few months, and I am in my early 30’s. I’m a student of Chinese medicine and bodywork. I don’t drink or party. I like eating snobby chocolate, cooking food, walking outside, and procrastinating. It’s important to me to have fun in the home, in addition to living well and intentionally. Sorrel is hilarious. He goes to nature school on weekdays and spends about 40% time with his dad, who is lovely (and also hilarious). I would say sorrel’s a pretty easy kid to live with. We have had a few roommates who would vouch for us 🙂 About the house: We’re in strawberry vale on a dead end road. 20 mins to downtown, 15 to Brentwood and Langford. We are close to awesome nature spots (Thetis lake, Francis king, Cordova bay). We have a front and backyard (and a trampoline, if that’s enticing at all). We’re surrounded by oaks— lots of leaves, but also lots of sturdiness and feeling supported, if you’re into that kind of stuff (I am). I would prefer *1 roommate that rents 2 rooms*. This has been the best format for us so far! Rent is $1750 plus split utilities. Our current roommate unexpectedly found a perfect 1 bedroom, and is moving on. She used the upper room as an office and private space, and the lower room as a bedroom. There is a studio in the backyard that is currently being renovated and is intended to be used for bodywork, small workshops, etc. Access to the studio will depend on contribution to organizing it (could potentially be included in rent, otherwise an accessible charge for working out of it, all things we can sort out as the renovations end). It is expected to be finished by the end of the year. Please reach out if you also value health, want to live collaboratively, and would appreciate being around a kiddo.
