This Catalina 27 has been well loved and maintained for 7+ years by its current and previous owners. The Catalina 27 has a long history, known for being affordable pocket curser that works well for a solo sailor. It is known as "everyone's first boat". It is even on some websites and publications as an honorable mention for a blue water boat or small boat to go any wear in, with several known world circumnavigations to their credit. I personally sailed it solo circumnavigating Vancouver island in 2021, and have used it expensively to teach Sail Canada's Basic cruising course with Starlight Sailing Adventures. Our reason for selling it is that we have purchase a large vessel for our live a board courses and we couldn't justify having the extra boat. I did a major refit of it when I took it out of the water during COVID, where I rebuilt the engine mount on the stern, reinforced and upgraded the mast step, added the wood stove, replaced the vhf and ran new antenna cables, replace all standing rigging, added various cubbies to the 'dead space' in the boat, added mahogany liners to the interior, and gave it a new paint scheme in gel coat. This is a great boat for anyone looking to start sailing or wanting ready to go pocket cruiser for exploring the golf island and beyond. If anyone looking to buy it, as a Sail Canada cruising instructor I can offer lessons on the vessel after purchase at 15% discount for up to 2 people.
